What this initiative involves.
Technology transfer without the technical capability to operate and maintain it produces dependency rather than industrial capacity. This proposed initiative examines how technology transfer programmes can be structured alongside technical training and skills development, so that local capability is built as production capacity is established.
Objectives- Define technology transfer categories relevant to priority industrial sectors
- Identify the technical skills required to operate and maintain transferred technology
- Assess training and skills partnership options with technical institutions
- Structure the initiative for partner and funder engagement
International technology providers, industrial groups, technical and vocational training institutions, sector bodies and development partners.
Proposed. The concept is under internal development and has not commenced.
Status is published as at the current stage of the initiative and is updated as the initiative progresses.
